Classes will be taught by Candy Byrd, DreamsCount Director, and Coach of the 2-Time National Champion University of Georgia Majorettes.   Candy has been the Auxiliary Coordinator for the UGA Redcoat Band for the past 5 years, which  encompasses the Majorettes, Georgettes Danceline, 
Flagline and the Feature Twirler, who all perform with the Redcoat Band on Saturdays in Sanford Stadium.  Members of the UGA Majorettes and 
Georgettes will also assist during the classes. Candy has over 20 years of teaching experience, and is excited to share her passion through this fun program with the Athens Community!

Text Box: Baton twirling and dance classes are coming to 
Athens First United 
Methodist Church!

Classes will be offered on 
Tuesdays and Fridays in the gym from March 18-May 16.

K-3rd Grade   3:30-4:30
4th-8th Grade  4:30-5:30
Classes will be added if needed.

The fee is $135 for the 8 week session (which meets twice a week) and a $25 registration fee which includes the correct baton and t-shirt.

There will be a performance for family and friends during the last week’s class.

Attire for class is anything comfortable  with TENNIS SHOES (no dresses or skirts please)

Please register below and turn in to the Church Office or Rusty Wood, Recreation Director, along with the fee by March 12.
